An above-ground pool top cap is a piece that fits around each top rail on the uppermost part of the pool where the top rails are connected to the top plate. This help to give the joint connection between the top rails a finished look. The cap finishes and enhances the astetics of the pool. These top caps will vary in shape and size and is unique to each individual pool model  (some models may overlap ). Caps will also vary in size and shape depeding on either round or oval pools. A round pool will be all identical whereas, a oval pool will have specific caps for the rounded or straight sides due to the shape of the verticals at each section. Oval ends will be rounded where straight sides of ovals will be more square at their respective vertical connections.
